Reverend Ginny Brown Daniel is a minister based in Houston, Tx.
I am an ordained minister with the United Church of Christ. I served as a pastor of a church in Texas for 12 years as well as a bishop overseeing churches for more than 5 years. One of my favorite parts of ministry is officiating weddings because the space the couple creates to honor their love and prepare for their lives together is amazingly intimate. Whether the wedding is large, small, traditional, creative, religious, or secular, the wedding service always reflects love on its best day between the couple, their family, and friends. I know how to create the environment for such a celebration to begin.
Throughout my ministry, I have officiated more than 40 weddings and civil ceremonies. In places like Hotel Zaza and the couple’s backyard, a historic church in Boston and along the Mississippi River in Natchez, MS, at the beach and at Rothko chapel, at a llama rescue farm in Cypress, and at a state prison of an inmate and his fiancé. I am extremely flexible and know how to create a wedding to reflect the unique qualities of the couple.
I am experienced in officiating wedding ceremonies that are religious, secular, same-sex, military, and blended. I make sure to provide opportunities for the couple to breathe and truly be present in the memories they make together during their wedding service. I have been married for 16 years to David Moore. We live in Spring and have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Over the years, David and I have hosted 8 exchange students from Germany, Poland, Thailand, Spain, and Japan. David and I have season tickets to the Alley Theatre in Houston and love to travel. I grew up in Auburn, Alabama, where my heart and family still reside including my amazing niece and nephew. When I am not working, I am riding my bike, doing yoga, or going to an Auburn football game with my dad.
