Born in Houston, Texas but raised in Monterrey, Mexico – Reverend Abel Tamez has a great understanding of both cultures which he incorporates into his bilingual and Spanish ceremonies. As a child, his family was active in the Catholic church. He served as an altar boy and during this time developed a profound respect for his faith.
For a number of years, Reverend Tamez was a proud member of Toastmasters International. Through his work with the nonprofit educational organization, he cultivated a love for public speaking.
He decided his next step was to become an ordained minister! What better way to use his voice than by uniting couples in matrimony! Being married for 12 years, he knows the spiritual significance of the wedding ceremony and strives to perform a memorable and meaningful service.
Reverend Tamez is a proud husband and father of one. When he isn’t working as an operations manager, he enjoys the fine art of making homemade beer and cheese.
Reverend Abel R. Tamez Jr.
“What makes me different is the fact that I can make a wedding funny, serious, or emotional in tone. I can tailor myself to match the couple’s personality and style. My joy comes from seeing the excitement in the faces of a pair choosing to spend a lifetime together.”
