Reverend Richard has trained in Religious and Intercultural Studies for 30 years, as well as served as a missionary in
Panama, Brazil, Bolivia, Zambia, India, Italy and the USA. He loves working with young couples and helping them through the early stages of their engagement as well as officiating the ceremony. His wife and he are happily married with 5 beautiful children and 11 amazing grandchildren. When he is not doing ministry he spends much of my time enjoying quiet moments with his wife or working on construction projects (usually her honey do list). He loves to remind future husbands to love their wives like Wesley in “Princess Bride” … “As you wish!”
Reverend Richard Schweinsberg Sr. became ordained to be a missionary in 1987 in Mississippi. Up until this time, he had performed mostly wedding ceremonies for family and friends. His son Pastor Richard Schweinsberg is also an officiant for Texas Wedding Ministers. “I was so excited when my son asked me to join the team. He had raved about the great times he was having marrying people and what great a company it was and I just knew it was the best place for me to share my love of marriage with lots of deserving couples!, said Reverend Richard in his interview.
Reverend Schweinsberg has a strong commitment to the value of love and respect for all people. As a result, his passion is to help wed couples with a uniquely arranged ceremony. These range from traditional to contemporary and even destination weddings. Because each couple is unique, he believes each ceremony should be customized to fit the couples desires, beliefs, culture, and passions in order to express the love and passion they have for one another!
Couples can count on Richard to be flexible with their ideas and plans, whether a small church wedding, extreme sports ceremonies, park-like setting or a simple “I do” elopement, he is excited to be a part of their special day.
