Officiant Erica Hickey is a newborn Texan recently coming from her sunny home state of California where she was born and raised. Her early career was focused on legislative and policy advocacy for youth and families involved in the child welfare system nationally and internationally. Erica went to law school and has received degrees in Psychology, Sociology and Political Science – Public Service. Her experience with advocacy and case management make her the perfect listening ear and microphone to ensure couples feel heard, seen, and have an unforgettable ceremony.
I have been an ordained minister since December 2020 through American Marriage Ministries.

My Honey and I married using Everlasting Elopements during his birthday weekend, so we love and can testify to the work that is being done by Texas Wedding Ministries. We found God together and love working together to continue to build our faith and love. Our house is filled with belly laughter, harmonized duets, and chirps and trills by our cats, Chip and Daisy. During my downtime, I find myself learning new things like mechanics and pushing my body to new lengths through hiking or my usually gym time. We love seeing what God has in store for us and our growing family, and we look forward to each wedding when couples are united as one.
