Raised in the Lutheran church, Jon grew up grounded in spiritual values and a genuine commitment to caring for others—values he continues to live out through youth outreach programs such as Big Brother and Blue Santa, as well as community organizations like the Salvation Army. He became ordained during the COVID-19 pandemic in July of 2021 and is an ordained Reverend through New Life Church Ministries, as well as the Universal Life Church Monastery. With many years of experience in the hospitality industry, customer-facing roles, classroom facilitation, and training, Jon is highly comfortable leading large or small groups. His background includes public speaking competitions, debate programs, and event coordination, allowing him to guide ceremonies with confidence, professionalism, and ease. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, making him accessible to a wider range of couples and families.
Jon’s decision to become an officiant began when close friends asked him to officiate their wedding during the pandemic—an experience that revealed to him the deep joy and meaning found in helping unite two people in love. Since then, he has officiated multiple weddings, including ceremonies in Austin and New Braunfels, ranging from intimate gatherings to celebrations of over 100 guests. His ceremonies have included both traditional and modern styles, and he is open to fully customized services that reflect each couple’s unique journey. Jon is known for his calm and reassuring presence, often helping couples feel at ease even in high-emotion moments. He believes that love is one of life’s greatest gifts from God and feels honored to use his talents to contribute to the happiness of others by celebrating love without barriers.

In his personal life, Jon values family, connection, and the simple joys that bring balance and peace. He maintains close ties to his family in Huntsville, Texas, where he regularly attends Faith Lutheran Church during visits home and cherishes time with his parents and grandmother. Jon is a proud cat dad to a rescue he lovingly bottle-fed as a kitten, enjoys virtual visits with his nieces and nephews, and loves encouraging his oldest nephew’s passion for music. When he’s not officiating weddings, Jon enjoys fishing, hiking, scenic country drives, and spending quiet moments surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation.
