Officiant Josh Arrendondo
Officiant Josh Arrendondo is a non-denominational minister based in San Antonio, Texas
Officiant Josh Arredondo brings positive energy, personality, and a genuine commitment to making every wedding ceremony feel personal to the couple standing in front of him. Ordained through American Marriage Ministries in June 2017, Josh approaches officiating with a simple philosophy: the ceremony should reflect the people getting married—not feel like a generic script that could belong to anyone.
Josh takes the time to learn what matters to each couple and tailors his ceremonies around their personalities, relationship, and vision for the day. He enjoys incorporating meaningful memories, funny stories, personal anecdotes, and special moments from a couple’s relationship into their ceremony. Throughout the planning process, Josh stays connected with his couples so they feel comfortable, prepared, and confident about what will happen when they reach the altar.
For Josh, creating a memorable ceremony is about more than finding the right words. He understands that years after the wedding, a couple may not remember every sentence their officiant said—but they will remember how the ceremony made them feel. His goal is to create those moments: the laughter, the happy tears, the smiles, and the feeling of being completely present with the person you are marrying.
Josh’s professional background has strengthened his ability to communicate, connect with people, and confidently lead a room. He is a high school teacher and also has experience as a personal trainer and group fitness coach. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management, bringing an interesting combination of organization, communication, energy, and attention to detail to his work as an officiant.
Since his ordination in 2017, Josh has performed ceremonies throughout the San Antonio and New Braunfels area for friends, family members, referrals, and couples he has had the pleasure of meeting through officiating. Regardless of how a couple finds him, Josh considers being invited into such an important moment of their lives an honor.

Outside of weddings and the classroom, Josh enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends. Fitness is an important part of his life, and his experience as a personal trainer reflects his natural enthusiasm for encouraging others and helping people work toward their goals.
Josh also enjoys playing rugby, working out, and spending time in the kitchen. He loves cooking and learning new recipes, especially when it gives him another opportunity to bring people together.
At the heart of Josh’s personality is his love of being around positive people—and his desire to bring that same positivity to the people he meets. That outlook carries directly into his wedding ceremonies. He wants couples to feel relaxed, celebrated, and genuinely excited to be in the moment rather than worrying about what comes next.
Whether the ceremony calls for heartfelt storytelling, plenty of laughter, emotional moments, or a combination of all three, Josh wants it to feel like your ceremony and your story. His job is to guide you through it, bring the right energy to the moment, and help create a memory you will carry with you long after the wedding day.

“You don’t come across people by mistake; the world has a way of bringing people together in life. More often than not, that is through the virtue of love. Love will bring you to your soulmate, it will bring you to the people close to you, and lucky for us officiants, it brings us to you.”
