Meet the Couple

Christi and Clay met in the dating app world and they told us “[dating apps] can really work!” Right before COVID hit and everything shut down is when they met. However, this obstacle helped them more than they could imagine. It brought them closer together in a short amount of time. Some of their favorite memories  include cooking dinners in the kitchen together, playing board games, and finding new fun hikes to go on. Their all time favorite dates that they go on are fishing dates. Christi and Clay dated for about a year and a half before they got engaged. Their engagement was very sweet, Clay took Christi to his family’s ranch and proposed near the water. After he proposed they went into Clay’s parents house where they were greeted by all of their favorite people. Christi had no idea and was blown away! They went ring shopping in January and Clay proposed that following July.

Planning the Wedding

Christi and Clay said wedding planning was slightly stressful but so much fun at the same time. The experience is what they joined the most, from picking out the venue to choosing the food. Christi had an idea of what she wanted but their wedding turned out better than either one of them could imagine. Firefly Farm is the wedding venue they chose for one main reason, “we were blown away from the second we saw it.” From every detail from the chapel for the ceremony, the grooms quarters, to the bridal suite, and everything in between. The day was planned so perfectly, and another big factor for the reasoning in choosing Firefly Farm as their venue was that they were able to reserve the whole weekend which was unique and made it an unforgettable experience. The venue had a coordinator, Rachel, and the couple said she was amazing throughout the whole process. This was the first venue they toured and they knew from that first step that this was the place they wanted to get married.

The Ceremony

Pastor Richard Schweinsberg officiated their wedding ceremony and helped make the day one everyone would never forget. He made the guests laugh, made the couple smile, and filled everyone’s heart with love. Christi and Clay said their wedding day was perfect! All of their favorite people were there, they married the love of their lives, and they got to party with all of the best people. A few of their favorite parts about their wedding day were the letters that they exchanged before the ceremony, the first looks with their family members, and the look on Clay’s face whenever Christi walked down the aisle. The two were so excited that they also got to spend with special day with their dog. “Truly an unforgettable experience”.

The Reception

Their reception was very memorable from the blue vintage truck, to the table settings, beautiful cake, and every other detail. When entering the reception area the tables had stunning centerpieces with white flowers in mason jars and table numbers tied to them. The centerpieces were sitting on a flat piece of wood along with candles. In the room on one of the walls hangs a sign that says “Firefly Farm” that makes for a great photo op area. Their cake was very pretty, all white with a unique design, and a cake topper. The room was filled with stunning chandeliers that were eye catching. After a night full of dancing with family and friends, it was time for their send off. Christi and Clay had a sparkler send off and that was the end of a very amazing night.
