Jose and Ulyssa’s Catholic Ceremony

Jose and Ulyssa’s

Catholic Ceremony

Meet The Couple

Jose and Ulyssa meet during their college years. After exchanging numbers they realized they were neighbors and became inseparable ever since. They dated for 4 years before Jose surprised Ulyssa with a proposal during their excursion on a private island in the Dominican Republic. The wedding planning process was exciting for Ulyssa but like many brides in 2020, the pandemic postponed the big day. The couple stayed positive and used the time to save money and create their fairytale wedding. From the moment Ulyssa saw the Kendall Point venue online, she knew it was the location she wanted for their “I do’s!”

The Ceremony

Fast forward to July 23, 2021, the moment they had been preparing for finally arrived! It was important for Ulyssa and Jose to have the traditional customs of their faith included in their vows so the couple selected an elaborate bilingual Catholic Ceremony with Father Richard Aguilar. The addition of rituals like the Unity Candle, Lasso, Arras Coins, and gifting of the Bible – allowed their closest family and friends to have an active part in the union. This made for beautiful photos but more importantly, memories they’ll always cherish.

The Reception

After their presentation as Mr. and Mrs. Ochoa, the couple was finally able to celebrate! They had an open bar, heartfelt toasts, and tons of dancing! Ulyssa says her favorite part was seeing everyone have fun. “I think what made our wedding unique was that this was the first wedding for both sides of the family in over 10 years so everyone was ready to party!”

All the guests in attendance could feel the love in the air. The beautiful pictures captured by George Street Photo reflect the genuine connection this pair shares. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day.
