Who said online dating never works? Marisa and Jeffery foraged a friendship six years ago that would stand the test of time. In 2013, they dated briefly after meeting on OkCupid. They had a connection but life pulled them in different directions.  They reconnected after both ending relationships in 2016 and it blossomed from there! After dating for two and a half years Jeffrey proposed and they started to plan their dream wedding. 

Jeffery and Marisa knew they wanted an outdoor wedding. They visited four venues before deciding on Cypress Falls Events in Wimberly, Texas. As soon as they saw the beautiful river and surrounding trees they knew this was the perfect place for their eco-friendly and sustainable wedding.  Pastor Tim Ball made their ceremony special by incorporating a unity tree planting ritual that symbolized the constant nurturing required to create a healthy and resilient life together. The ivory, sage, and olive green tones, selected by Marisa, added to the earthy and grounded nature of the occasion.

After their ceremony, the couple took pictures along the river and enjoyed an intimate ride on a Jon boat while their guests got comfortable in the reception area.  The Joseph party was entirely vegan! All the plates and party favors were reusable or compostable. Marisa and her family even made succulent garden centerpieces for their guests to take home.
